Ralph Rittenhouse was born into a pastor's family, studied church music at Florida State University, then spent 14 years on staff with Campus Crusade For Christ (now known at CRU). After completing a Master's Degree at Grace Graduate School of Theology in Southern California, Ralph became the pastor of a small church in Camarillo, one hour north of downtown Los Angeles.
Over the next 32 years Ralph saw God grow the small congregation into a large church (as he describes it, a giant nursery filled with baby Christians). It was then that the need for intentional disciple making became complellingly apparent. In the final five years of Ralph's pastorate in Camarillo, God enabled the church to transition into a disciple making mission.
After retiring in 2015, Ralph joined Dr. Greg Ogden in forming Global Discipleship Initiative, an organization reaching around the world training pastors and church leaders to make disciples who make disciples.
Rev. Rittenhouse will be at Triumph the April Sundays after Easter.
He will be encouraging discipleship in small groups during Sunday school and bringing the Sunday morning message on those Sundays.
Triumph Lutheran has called a new pastor, Rev. Craig Johnson. Pastor Johnson will start on May 1st. He has been the pastor of Bethany Free Lutheran Church in Astoria, OR for the last 21 years.
Pastor Craig will be marrying Cathe Erhart on May 29th at Elim Free Lutheran Chruch in Lake Stevens Washington.
As a church we share the message of salvation in Jesus Christ as the Bible declares. Therefore, we ask you the same question Jesus asked, "Do you believe in Jesus as your Savior? Is Jesus Lord of your life?"
You are welcome here.
Please come and worship with us. As you hear God's Word the Lord will use it to build up your faith and assure you of eternal life. Listening to God's Word will be the best thing that ever happened to you.
We accept the Holy Bible as the inspired, inerrant and complete written Word of God as a whole and in its parts, and as such is the Word of God under all circumstances and is the sole rule and norm for faith and life in Jesus Christ regardless of man's attitude toward it. The Word of God is preserved to us by the Holy Spirit for our salvation and instruction.
Rev. Craig Johnson
There will be a Council Meeting on Thursday evening, April 15th at 6:30 PM.
